Born and raised in Jersey City to the late Vincent and Ann (nee Casano), Vincent was the oldest of two sons to bless the family. After high school he was set up on a blind date with Carol A. Rossi and from then on, the two were inseparable. They married and started their life together. Vincent attended St. Peter's night school and by the time graduation came around they had their first baby. They worked hard at their dry-cleaning businesses, Carol's Classic Cleaners in Union City and later Dutch Maid Cleaners, Verona. Their family grew and soon he was the father of three. Sadly, Carol fell ill and passed in 1984 after a valiant bout with breast cancer. As the years passed Vincent sold the cleaners and took a job with Allstate where he could enjoy more time with his family which was growing again! He was soon crowned the title of Grandpa, and this was his favorite name for sure. Vincent played an active role in raising his younger 3 grandchildren. The title of Grandpa was fondly used by his grandchildren's' friends when they would be over to play. Often Vincent would be seen helping his grandchildren and their friends with schoolwork or bandaging skinned knees. He loved his NY Yankees and loved sharing stories of Yogi coming to the cleaners. When his oldest grandson was serving overseas, Vincent could be found watching a Yankees game with his grandson on the phone watching too. He loved his family and relished any opportunity for a meal together with a glass of wine, the holidays and playing with the grand pups. He will be missed beyond measure. We take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his beloved Carol (he would often refer to as his "girlfriend") and his daughter Ann Marie (1992) whom he's missed for so long. He leaves his children Vincent and his wife Gerry and Michele Kocotos; his grandchildren Holly Krill (Rob), Corey Mullins (Ryan), Kelsey Ditzig (David), Brandy Krisinski (Michael), Staff Sgt. Joseph Kocotos (Heather Williams), Carol Kocotos and Anthony Kocotos; his great grandchildren Jaxon, Justice, Damon Emmit; his brother Daniel Corsaro and many more dear relatives and friends. "We remember their love when they can no longer remember."

They made their home in Totowa and after a few years of running his business, Park Ave. Maintenance; he took a job with Frito Lay and would forever be known to the neighborhood kids as the snack guy. No child got passed Bill without receiving a bag of crunchy chips. He retired after decades of dedicated service. Having grown up with a shore home, Bill was blessed to continue this tradition with his own family. The heartbeat of the Bakker family started many moons ago and remains within the walls of "209". Mountains of memories and tons of love fill the home to this day. It was by the shores of Seaside Heights where he found his true happiness. Bicycling on the boardwalk, heading out on the boat and fishing the salty sea. He found solace in the company of passer-byers, and treasured moments spent with his family. His family was truly his greatest accomplishment and "Grandpa" - his proudest title. We remain grateful for his love and know that his joyful spirit will never leave us. Born in Cuba, Bobby immigrated to the US with his parents, settling in West New York. After his schooling and working for several years, he opened his own provisions company. With the support of his loyal customers, the business flourished over the years and became successful. As a young man, he was over the moon to welcome his daughter into this world, and being a Dad has certainly been his greatest accomplishment. Many years back he was set up with Teresita Duran and the rest was history. With Terry, came her two children to love and nurture, and more children to laugh at his jokes. His love for life was evident in every aspect, from his beloved yellow 911 to his passion for dancing and music, where he found joy in just two steps. Yes, just two steps. His rhythm echoed his vibrant spirit! An avid hunter and fisherman, he found solace in the great outdoors, whether it be the tranquility of the beach or the majesty of the mountains. His infectious laughter filled every room, fueled by his knack for telling the best- and often the goofiest jokes. Though he may have left this world too early, his zest for life and the love he shared will forever remain in our hearts. He leaves the love of his life Teresita "Terry" Jorge Duran; his children Sarah Bombino (Justin Maher), Nicholas Duran (Bianca), and Deanna Duran (Paola Lopez); his loyal canines and hunting pals Cuba & Havana and many more dear friends and relatives. James was born to the late James and Rose Marie (Danisi) in Massachusetts. They moved to Belleville, NJ when he was five years old. He attended Bruce Street School for the Deaf in Newark as a child and later graduated from Trenton School for the Deaf. He met Barbara Van Court at a church social and they married in September of 1963. James worked hard with Wallace & Tiernan for many years, providing a good life for his family. His meticulous nature defined every facet of his life. His passion for building intricate models, especially of boats and planes, showcased his attention to detail. A member of the Eastern Penn - Jersey Deaf Bass Anglers Club, he embraced freshwater fishing and fostered connections through various clubs. He enjoyed his time at the pool and loved to soak up the sunshine. At home, he enjoyed old Westerns and old War movies. The HBO Western channel was a standard in the Zurlo living room. A history enthusiast, he stayed up to date of news and current events, his mind an ever-curious stockroom of knowledge. His quirky sense of humor and his joyful spirit will be remembered for years to come. He leaves his wife Barbara of 60 years; his children John Zurlo (Maureen) and Carol Zurlo (Charles Rakovic); his grandchildren Colin and Iris Zurlo and many dear relatives and friends. Maria was born in Nocera Superiore, Italy and was the youngest of eight children to bless the Lafragola family. At a young age she met Guerino Pannullo and they married in 1952. She was soon busier than ever with three young boys and several years later- alas- a daughter! Her family was complete. She was a remarkable Wife, Mother and Sister and would do anything for her family. She was our Matriarch and an extraordinary woman who savored the richness of life. With a passion for good food and fine wine, she embraced each moment with persistence and a spirited force that defined her 93 years. She could be stubborn and often deliberate; but always loving and genuine. She enjoyed trying her luck at the lottery, and always had a coin in hand for a good scratch off. Her Italian soap operas echoed through her home but the sweet sound of children shouting Nonna was her favorite. Although we are saddened by her passing, we remain grateful for her fierce examples of strength and determination she showed in this life. Possa riposare nella pace piu dolce. Predeceased by her husband Guerino and her seven siblings; she leaves her adored sons Pasquale (Sabina), Vicenzo (Anna), Lucio (Maria); her devoted daughter Rosa Anna Pannullo-Nese (Luigi); her cherished grandchildren Guerino, Maria, Marco, Guerino, Maria and Nicholas Pannullo and Alfredo Nese; seven great grandchildren; and many more loving family and friends. |
