Della Pulicicchio of Little Falls, N.J. passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 with her family by her side, she was 88.
Born in Little Falls, N.J. to Salvatore and Eugenia (nee Longo) Pullara, Della was a lifelong Little Falls, N.J. resident. It was in the town of Little Falls where she spent her formative years creating cherished memories with her family. Della devoted much of her professional life as a bank teller. She began her career at New Jersey Bank in Little Falls and later continued her dedicated service at Valley Bank. While working as a bank teller, Della met her future husband, who frequently came to her to cash his checks. He was very persistent, and one day, she finally agreed to go out with him. The rest, as they say, is history. A woman of many passions, Della cherished every moment spent with her family. Her love for family gatherings was evident in her exceptional cooking, where she delighted in preparing meals that brought everyone together. Della also found great joy in her travels, especially her trips to Atlantic City and the cruises she loved so much. Della was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Angels Church in Little Falls. Predeceased by her parents, her devoted husband, Joseph B. Pulicicchio, Sr., son, Joseph B. Pulicicchio, Jr. and brother, Samuel Pullara, she is survived by her loving daughter, Donna Cali and her husband, Robert; cherished grandchildren, Robert Cali and his wife, Lindsey and Joseph Cali and his wife, Jaclyn; precious great-grandchildren, Dominic, Dante, Josephine and Juliet; caring sister, Rae Hamway; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass at Our Lady of the Holy Angels Church with inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery will be private at the request of the family. Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls, N.J. Memories and condolences may be shared at gaitamh.com.

I am deeply saddened at the passing of Mrs. Pulicicchio. I so loved her. Della was so caring, kind, and loving to me. I am forever grateful she was a big part of my life. Donna, and your entire family, I am so sorry for your loss. May her memory be eternal. Love, Yvonne

I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Della's passing. Although I had not seen her in a while I have the fondest memories of our big family get togethers as well. She had an incredible gift of making every gathering happy, filled with laughter and of course, her delicious food. She will be lovingly remembered. I am so sorry for your loss Donna, Bob and your entire family.
